While every real estate transaction in Jamaica has its own unique set of characteristics, most usually involve considerable sums of money. It is vital therefore, especially for persons wishing to transact from overseas, to obtain a legal representative who is trustworthy and who places great importance on integrity as a core value. Since Many transactions present one or more legal or practical considerations, strong technical skills and knowledge of local best practices are also essential.
For over twenty years, I have been entrusted with the representation of local and overseas-based homeowners, landowners, developers, commercial and residential landlords and tenants and other professionals in a wide range of real estate matters.

MY WORK
- I advised a “start up” land development company on the purchase, sub-division, construction and sale of high-value residential town homes including dealing with the financing arrangements, raising the splinter titles and a Transfer Tax rebate application. I also established the entity to manage the property and its common areas.
- I advised many well-known Strata Corporations on their rights and obligations under the law and on property management issues generally.
